Contents
1. Contract formation and termination
A binding contract for the Services is formed once you accept these Terms of Use and, where applicable, pay the relevant fees. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive monthly or annual billing periods unless cancelled by you via your account management page. You may cancel automatic renewal at any time. Further details are set out in Sections 2 and 8.
Customers may withdraw from a paid subscription agreement within 14 days of entering into the agreement, without providing any reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must notify Squib in writing by email within this 14-day period. The withdrawal period shall be deemed met if the notice is sent before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
2. Fees and payments
Service fees
You agree to pay all applicable fees for paid Services in accordance with the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase, either by Squib or by our external payment provider Stripe Payments Europe Limited. Fees are charged using the payment method selected in your account.
You represent and warrant that your payment details are accurate and up to date. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees paid are non-refundable. Squib is not responsible for the performance or security of Stripe.
Subscriptions
Certain Services are offered on a subscription basis with monthly or annual billing cycles. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of that period and may export your data.
If no active subscription remains, your account will be downgraded to Squib’s free plan.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes and for providing accurate billing information.
Price adjustments
Squib may adjust Service fees. For subscriptions, changes take effect only at the end of the current billing cycle. You will be informed in advance and may cancel your subscription if you do not agree to the change.
Response limit overage fees
Each subscription plan includes a defined response limit. If you exceed the limit applicable to your paid plan within a billing cycle, additional per-response fees apply. Unused response quotas do not carry over to subsequent billing periods.
Overage fees are charged automatically at the start of the next billing cycle. Non-payment may result in restriction, suspension or termination of the affected Services, subject to applicable law.
3. Data protection and confidentiality
Data protection
Squib processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. You agree that Squib may process your content as described therein. You are responsible for informing survey participants about Squib’s Privacy Policy.
In case of conflict between these Terms and a data processing agreement, the data processing agreement prevails, except with respect to liability limitations.
Confidentiality
Your content is treated as confidential, except where it becomes public without breach, was lawfully known to Squib beforehand, is obtained lawfully from third parties, is disclosed within an organisation using a corporate account, or is independently developed by Squib.
Disclosure may occur where required by law, subject to reasonable prior notice where legally permissible.
Security
Squib implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. In the event of a personal data breach affecting your account, Squib will notify you without undue delay as required by law.
4. Your content
Ownership
You retain all rights in your content. Squib claims no ownership and receives only a limited licence to process your content as necessary to provide and improve the Services.
Representations and warranties
You warrant that you have the necessary rights to your content and that your content does not violate applicable law or acceptable use standards, including prohibitions on hate speech, discrimination, harassment, criminal activity, pornography, offensive material or intellectual property infringement.
Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your content. Squib may refuse or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Squib is not liable for your content or third-party content.
5. Squib intellectual property
Except for your content, all rights in the Services remain with Squib. Any feedback you provide may be used by Squib without restriction or compensation.
6. Third-party resources
The Services may include links to third-party websites or resources. Squib is not responsible for third-party content or services. All third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Account management
Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities occurring under your account, except where caused by Squib.
You must keep your contact, billing and email information accurate and up to date.
Account inactivity
Squib may close inactive accounts after 12 months without activity, following reasonable prior notice where practicable.
8. Suspension and termination of Services
By you
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the account management page. Payments already made are non-refundable, unless the cancellation results from a material breach of contract by Squib or a refund is required by law.
Access to survey results and other stored data requires an active paid subscription (PRO or BUSINESS). Once your subscription expires, is cancelled or is not renewed, access will be suspended. You are responsible for exporting or downloading any required data in due time.
After your subscription ends, your data will be retained based on your last active plan: 3 months for PRO and 3 years for BUSINESS. If you subscribe to a paid plan again within this period, access may be restored.
After the retention period expires, Squib may permanently delete all data, including surveys and survey results, without further notice. Recovery will no longer be possible.
By Squib
Squib may terminate your subscription effective at the end of a billing cycle by giving you at least 30 days’ prior written notice. No refunds will be issued for previous billing periods.
Squib may terminate your subscription if: (i) you materially breach these Terms; (ii) you fail to pay any fees within 30 days of their due date; (iii) you use the Services in a way that may expose Squib to liability or prevent others from using the Services; or (iv) termination is required by applicable law.
Where appropriate, Squib will endeavour to provide advance notice before deactivating or terminating your subscription and/or discontinuing the Services, and to allow you to export a copy of your content. However, urgent circumstances may require immediate action without prior notice.
Surveys and survey results will remain stored and accessible for 3 months for PRO customers and 3 years for BUSINESS customers. In the event of Squib Ltd.’s insolvency, Squib reserves the right to adjust these access periods and will inform affected customers in writing at least 30 days in advance.
9. Changes and updates
Changes to Terms and Services
Squib may update these Terms or modify, add, restrict, suspend or discontinue Services or features at any time, including to reflect legal, operational or security requirements or to prevent misuse. If Squib discontinues a Service, it will provide reasonable prior notice where possible, allowing you to export your content.
Downgrades
Downgrading your plan, including cancelling a subscription or switching to the free plan, may result in the loss of content, features, functionality or account capacity.
10. Disclaimers and indemnification

Squib aims to provide a reliable user experience, but the Services may be temporarily unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the Services and related advice are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including availability, reliability, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Squib is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive damages or losses, including loss of use, data, business or profits, arising from the Services or these Terms, regardless of the legal basis and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
If you are a business customer, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Squib and its officers, employees and representatives from third-party claims arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

Squib may offer products or features as test or early-access versions (“Beta Services”). Beta Services are provided for evaluation only, may contain errors or cause data loss, and may be changed or discontinued at any time. You must stop using them upon request. By using a Beta Service, you agree that Squib may collect usage data and feedback and analyse your content, including through manual review, to improve the Service and fix issues. Beta Services are provided “as is”, without warranties of availability, reliability or data security. Squib accepts no liability for their use, which is at your own risk.
